The organisations we work in can be somewhere people can thrive and show up fully as human beings. I’m passionate about discovering — and helping others to discover — simpler and more effective ways to accomplish work.
The earliest part of my career was spent in the technology sector. Then I wandered into the world of organisational storytelling via a lineage of Dave Snowden’s work in complexity. Using narrative approaches, I helped organisations make sense of complex problems, allowing the emergence of shared understandings and collective decision making. My work has been influenced and informed by complexity and its application ever since.
I have experience working with organisations and their business leaders (up to C-level) to help them see their world differently and influence long-term organisational and cultural change. I’m also an experienced coach who helps leaders to expand their thinking in the places they get stuck, and supporting them to navigate the challenges they face. I’m skilled at inviting and listening to different perspectives, and helping individuals and groups to discover their own way forward. My approach to change puts an emphasis on shared decision making, high levels of participation, and collaboration.
My intention for being involved in Campfire Co-op is to do meaningful work in ways that honour people and evoke our best human qualities. I also crave the deep relationships, participation, learning and fun that comes from real collaboration. I’m excited to not only work with others exploring self-organisation and participation - but to be able to learn, practice and model that.
